Wife got the black. I got the 40th. Have to credit her for the deal, she sourced them
Our wives have something in common, that moto-gene. This year mine got a great deal on a Vitpilen 401 for a friend and found a Ducati 999 at a price where we basically had to buy it. And that's ignoring the ZX-4RR last year that she really pushed to down pay months before we even knew the price.

No wife but the same situation re: '01 999 I had to buy in July!

40th colors
$8900 OTD
Ridersville Cycle Berkley Springs WV

*this does not included taxes.

This dealer is honest and no b/s fees on their stuff.
If it doesn't include taxes, then it's not "OTD." I've noted that dealers in states with taxes often have lower list prices but the savings are more than eaten up by the state taxes.

So: about $9,434 OTD in WV. Still not bad.

Same states have no sales tax, and others have a high percentage, so the best equalizer for a true comparison OTD would be without sales tax.

Taxes vary state to state and are not negotiable....death and taxes you know....

I wanted to show an "out the door' minus taxes for that reason, which IMHO, levels the field for an apples-to-apples comparison with pricing and dealer fees.

For instance, if I bought my 4RR in VA vs FL, all things being equal, the OTD "price" would be more for VA.

To me, the comparison between dealers in this case would be useless without a detailed breakdown of the invoice.

Disagree (obviously!). And if we're eliminating taxes from the total, we'd have to eliminate all registration, title, and other state fees, leaving only the vehicle cost, setup, freight and documentation fees.

But, is it really important? No. 😁

What was done earlier in this thread gave the OTD price and then that price broke down like shown below.
,
$12,279.91 OTD in Reno, Nevada
Price $9,699
Freight $735
Dealer prep $595
Sales tax $927.66
Title/License/Registration fee $28.25
Document or Administration fees $195

The dealer has two. The first one has a deposit on it holding it until the buyer can get in to finalize the purchase. The second one is in transit to the dealership. I’ve got a deposit on it. They had three other people that want it. I was the first to give them a deposit on it. It should arrive at the dealership this week.

State: Arizona
MSRP: $9,076.17
Freight: $550
Dealer Preparation: $516
Sales Tax: $872.23
Title/Registration/License: $179.99
Dealer Processing Fee: $399.95
Waste Tire Fee: $4.66

Total OTD: $11,599.00

This is my second bike and got a reasonable deal judging by the numbers others have posted, but I see a few people here who got a smoking deal. Congrats to you all, and look forward to enjoying the ZX4RR.
