I should have waited, but didn't think the 40th would last this late into the year.

$750 makes the 40th less than the KRT and the ZX4R even a better deal. (y)

Well, at least you have already ridden some miles on it... ;)

OTD ?

With the state sales tax, etc. ?
I think that is the MSRP minus the 750 rebate from Kawasaki on the 40th. I don't think that is OTD. Also, you only get the 750 discount if you pay cash or you get a very high APR.

Anyone still looking power still has got a 40th just discounted again. That's otd price.

Florida Lime, that ad is from Sublimity Powersports in Oregon.
Oregon does not charge sales tax.
They are selling that bike with "Price INCLUDES all freight and set up fees. After all promos".
No freight, no set up or title fees.
MSRP: $10,299.00
Rebate: $750
$9,549.00

People from Washington buy dirt bikes from dealers in Oregon all the time.
If they are riding on private property and not on public lands and never title the bike in Washington they "don't" have to pay the Washington use/sales tax on the bike.
Also, they only get the MSO, not a "pink slip".

If I bought that bike and wanted to register it in Washington it would cost me $919.36 in use/sales tax, payable at the licensing agent when getting the plates/tabs/ORV tabs.
The actual total for the bike would be $10,401.32 if I were to buy it outright and license it in Washington in the county I live in.
If it's a brand new vehicle Washington will charge you use/sales tax for the MSRP before rebates.

My dealer quoted me a price of $10,684.714 out the door for the 40th he had.

That $200+ savings is not worth the 12+ hours of driving and going through Seattle/Portland twice to get it. :ROFLMAO:

One of my sons lives in Portland, and I knew that they didn't have sales tax, but I couldn't see the dealer information on the ad that was posted. I saw in the profile that he lives in Washington, so that was all I had to go on.

Thanks for the explanation.

Yes otd it's in oregon no sales tax. They don't charge freight or setup fees there. Now when you register it in your state then sales tax n license fees will apply.

I bought my krt from them compared to my local shops. Even after sales tax and licensing fees. I still saved $1200 due to fees mark up local shops where pulling. You all need to stop letting shops rip you off on.

Setup and thier other bs mark ups.

Late comment:

No. I talked twice with one of their sales people and their best price OTD for an Oregon resident was $9,792 (that includes registration). OR doesn't have sales or vehicle taxes. No financing required to get that price.

However, that bike finally sold yesterday (and I was going to call them again tomorrow to try and make the deal! <sniff!>).

Can you schedule a test ride at your dealership?
This is what sealed the deal for me, and i've been extremely happy with my purchase ever since.

What model are you looking at?

I'm not looking at dealerships anymore for a 2024 ZX-4RR Anniversary Edition. The nearest ones (and I just searched yesterday) are either in CA and you have to pay the state sales tax which makes them not a deal, or even further away like AZ and just too expensive and too many days of driving or expensive shipping which makes them not a deal, either.

I messaged Kawasaki a week ago to see if they will continue the livery in 2025 but nobody responded. I hate when customer service departments don't respond. Of course, a 2025 (when they come) will probably be a few $100 more and without the current $750 dealer rebate. Who knows?

There is one available that I may pursue.

EDIT: I just got an email from Kawasaki about 2025 liveries:

"Thank you for contacting Kawasaki Customer Support. We do not have any information to share on upcoming models. Sign up on www.Kawasaki.com to Stay Connected with the latest news and new product updates and announcements."

Bought these back in August/September and received a decent deal on both, so I couldn’t resist. The dealer let me do a pass through sale on my old Ninja 300s, to help save on taxes.

2024 ZX4R
Bike $8,290.00
Tax $356.86 (trade tax savings of $279.37)
Licensing $187.75
Total OTD $8,834.61

2024 ZX4RR KRT
Bike $8,850.00
Tax $338.98 (trade tax savings of $338.97)
Licensing $187.75
Total OTD $9,376.73
