It was a great day. Finally got to meet @vcyclenut in person and we spent the whole day riding together. The smiles from a couple ZX-4RR's riding on track together was off the charts. It started sprinkling rain at the end of the day and I got to go out and enjoy an open track since no one was on. That was really fun and the Q5's did really well with a little moisture on the ground.

I have tons of videos and pics to sort through and then will have to post them up with a write up. I may just do a YouTube video instead since it's easier to talk through it than type it all out.

After riding @vcyclenut 's 4RR on the street with GP shift, I'm swapping my KRT over.

The FTEcu sensor makes it easy to swap. Just switch two wires and move the linkage and adjust for optimal geometry (as close to 90 degrees on each end as possible).

Are you going to be using the OEM clutch discs and plates or are you upgrading?
Also any other modifications to your clutch assembly while you're in there putting in the new Suter setup?

I was keeping quiet with my purchase of not one but 2 Suter clutches, one for the 4RR, and the other for the N400. 🤷🏼‍♂️😉

Since the 4RR has 1 mile on the motor I'm going to be using the OEM plates as they're still new.
I'm adding the Spears SPZX400r Gear Shift Arm Kit with Detent while I'm in the housing to make sure there's no issues with dropped gears etc and the reason I asked if you were doing the same.

You going to be doing a how to on this for the forums? 🤞
Id planned on it but won't be for another month as I just got back on the road again.

Looking forward to a review from you once you get it all sorted, tested, and track verified. 🙏🏽

I got the clutch from @Gravesport with a whole new set of steel and friction plates. The stack up thickness has to be within a certain spec for the clutch to work properly, so buying all new parts was in order.

I will tackle the install and try to make a video of what I can to help others out.

"The stack up thickness has to be within a certain spec for the clutch to work properly, so buying all new parts was in order."

Im guessing you're taking into consideration the wear you have on your factory clutch plates in buying all new then. 🤔

I'll be measuring the stack thickness on my OEM to see if they meet the requirement for the install as I doubt anyone has done this already.
If needed I'll get what's needed to make it work but in theory shouldn't have to with still new plates. 👍

Yeah I got mine from @Gravesport as well and should be delivered for the second time after delivery failure the first time with signature being required and nobody home.
UPS delivers when everyone is working and in school. 🤦🏻😏

Stack up on the new steels and frictions @Gravesport sent me was within spec (as expected)

The Suter slipper clutch feels way different than the stock one in terms of pull. Lever feels more firm.

I could only putt slowly around my neighborhood to test that it's working so will have to see how it feels at speed on the track.
