It's only money, right? 🤷🏻‍♂️

I found two RR's for sale near me. A 40th for $14,100 out the door (has $2450 "freight and setup" 🤦🏻‍♂️ ) and an all black ZX-4RR for $12,000 out the door. Not really compelled for either right now. 40th total cost is a downer and the black one doesn't do it for me. I'd take another KRT before I buy a black one, but really would like a 40th for the street.

Or not enough. 😉

A bunch of really cool stuff just arrived moments ago.

The machining and tool paths on the side engine cover protection is perfection! Like fine jewelry.

My favorite part of these race fairings are the seat. It's just a beautiful and elegant solution to what is normally a very ugly part of other race fairings.

I'll be doing all the paint on these fairings myself, DIY. I don't know why they call it painting, it should be called sanding. 🤣

And of course some other odds and ends that are needed are included below.

The way the seat and tailsection mate together is just off the charts cool.

I didn't think you could improve on the stock one but somehow the shape of the race tail is even more badass! It's definitely my favorite part (so far).

Over the past few decades I've bought, fitted and painted Sharkskins, Armor Bodies, and Lockhart Phillips race fairings, and none of them felt like this.

The honeycomb material is amazing how light and strong it is. It messes with your brain when you pick up a piece and try to bend it.

And the way the lower bolts to the bike independent of the side fairings is well thought out.

Since you are going to paint the Graves bodywork, buy the black ZX4RR, and paint that one in the 40th scheme. ;)

If I'm buying another one, I really want it to be different than my KRT...the silver frame and nostalgic livery of the early 90's calls to me! That's when I started riding on the street (1991).

I can attest that all the people I've been riding with on the road and track who are older than me smoke me like a turkey on thanksgiving 🤣

Gives me hope that I can still learn how to ride better as I get older!

These guys put on their leathers and then turn into spry 20 year olds who freaking fly!

This accidentally fell into my van at my local dealership today. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Haha! I'm so happy for you! That's where I test rode my first zx4rr at the Kawa days btw.. Glad it worked out for you and needless to say, the 40year for the street and the KRT for the track is the best possible couple. Looking forward to that conversion as well. I'm sure it doesn't last very long without titanium and some goodies from the usual place north of LA. Lets see how it goes in the next few months but I may end up with the same strategy :ROFLMAO:

The second dealership actually called me as I was on my way to the first, but I made a deal on the second one over text! It was only 4 minutes from "I have a bike for you" to "we got a deal" via SMS text.

I gave him the price the other dealership gave me and he didn't hesitate to say he would beat it by $100. This second dealer was closer to my house and I liked the VIN number of the cheaper one better too so it was an easy decision.

As soon as I signed on the cheaper one with the second dealership, I pulled my deposit from the first dealer. They were bummed but I'm sure they'll sell it.

The shop I actually bought it from were the same guys that wanted $3000 ADM on a KRT last spring. This time they came out of the gate with their best foot forward.

The bike arrived yesterday and they uncrated it and assembled it in the afternoon. It spent 25 minutes on the showroom floor this morning before the sales guy called me and it was mine.

I've never had a new bike with 0 miles on the clock. The trip meter actually shows 0.2 miles 😎

It's hasn't gone faster than 5 mph in first since it landed in North America.
