Took off the helmet lock bracket, which with the lock itself is almost half a pound

Then got to soldering the wires I had to cut when I repositioned the license plate light level with the ground.

Took the huge rubber boots off the connectors for the signals and plate. They were taking up space in the limited rear seat storage area

Some thoughtful wire routing helps maximize every bit of space for storage

Then I added more ISC Racers tape to the underside of the tail since there were already rock chips showing with less than 1000 miles.

Next the ABS stickers on the front fender have to go.

The solo rear seat cowl looks great. I like it a lot.

The bike is all back together and ready to ride so I can test out the new ECU flash.

How does it run/ride?

How does it run/ride?
I got to ride it for the first time today since getting my ECU flashed by @vcyclenut for my stock exhaust and stock engine except a DNA air filter installed.

Long story short, I'm REALLY stoked!

He may have saved me $2200 because the bike is so good right now, I'm not sure I want to deal with a ton of noise with a full exhaust just to gain a few more HP and drop weight.

Judging solely by my "butt dyno" the bike feels better everywhere, with more noticeable oomph throughout.

But above 11,000 rpm it's like a whole new bike! Before the flash, the bike felt half asleep and strained to rev out. Now when I hit 11k it feels like someone rear ended me and it pulls harder and harder all the way to redline.

I seriously think we need to bring a class action lawsuit against Kawasaki because what they're shipping out to consumers is downright criminal. [emoji1787]

Another key thing to point out is that the quickshifter feels much better too. The upshifts are much more crisp, and less mushy with the stock flash. It just quickly snicks into gear now and makes rowing through the box a joy.

I'm quickly forgetting what the bike was like before the flash, so I'm probably not going to be a good source of info for very long. I'm never going back. [emoji41]

Went for a short ride today to a grand opening for a local Dainese store here in San Diego.

I rode the beauty and made my friend who flew into town ride the beast.

What bike is "the beast"? An ex-police C-14?
What is the tail dragger in an earlier post? Maule?

Dude, you bought titanium bolts and axles...the flash is a must do thing but you need to get a slipon at very least to hear this thing sing or you're missing out on a good part of the experience.
Seriously sounds like an F1 car when you're into it and its intoxicating, shit eating grin producing.
Very happy I wear full face helmet, id look like a retard riding around with my permagrin.
Just saying.

You owe it to yourself for all that you've done.
Dont miss out on it.

I have so many other bikes that are so loud, I just can't get myself to give up the stealth advantage of the stock pipe on this one quite yet.

I totally agree with you though...I've been drooling at the insane sounds of the full systems and slips on IG and FB. It is absolutely exquisite when it revs out from 12-16k rpm!

I'm gonna let the new toy effect of the flash from @vcyclenut to wear off a bit and then see what's next. While I enjoy all the power he's uncorked I can sit back and see what exhausts keep popping up for this thing.

My 2cents, but I haven't installed a set.
Definitely do one at at time.
Lots of N400 guys pulled both sides at once, then struggled to line up holes.
Thanks for your advice.

No support needed if you do one at a time like folks already said.

If you aren't removing/replacing the engine mount spacers it's even easier.
Thank w

What part number or O2 for what bike did you order off Amazon to harvest the plug from?

Also are you using Antiseize on your Frame slider bolts ?

Here's the link to the $13 sensor I bought:

I used this anti-seize. It's my favorite. Being metal free it cleans off very easily unlike the normal stuff. It's also good up to 2000F for exhaust stuff.

Webike day is always a good day.

The Kawasaki OE "Sport" seat is thinner and firmer than stock. The vinyl is a bit grippier and has the Kawasaki logo.

Now the A-Tech carbon rear fender goes on

I have an aluminum and carbon countershaft cover...gonna go with the carbon!

Yoshimura oil cap is more bling

And now for some carbon heel guards

Image

Image

Lastly remove the super heavy OE steel bar ends

Image

And replace with aluminum that has a brake lever guard

Up next is the K-Factory shift shaft support, Yoshimura steering stem nut, and carbon front winglet
