I'm not sure exactly how much fuel is in the tank, but it came in at 348.8 lbs in the current track configuration. (186.5 lbs front & 162.3 lbs rear)

The weight savings is significant enough to feel it just moving the bike around my shop.

Might switch to a Graves low mount setup to save a little more.

Do you guys mostly wear gloves? I sometimes "want to" and then within minutes usually come to a situation where I need fine dexterity and the last thing I can use is an additional layer between the fingers and workpiece (valid for other areas in life too). In other words they tend to get into the way so quickly I almost never use them, except maybe for DOT4 or Oil changes.

I usually only wear them for things involving fluids like you mentioned. The gloves I bought are a little larger than what I've had in the past, so I understand the dexterity issue.

I never wear gloves, kind of like condoms, as I need the full feel of what I'm doing. 😜😂

why not safety wire the caliper bolt to the ABS sensor? might not pass FAA regs, but i don't see why it would fail anywhere else
That would be an awkward angle for the wire and not as clean IMO. This was the most streamlined way to do it that I could think of.

Biased by my aviation background, I'm more interested in the number of hours an engine has operated rather than the distance it has traveled, so I've installed a wireless hour meter activated by engine vibrations.

I've had good luck with these sensors on other vehicles and they work well.

Ideally the hours are accumulated as a function of engine rpm (like aircraft) but this is better than nothing.

Would be great if it also showed the temp of the block or does it? Does it use temperature and/or accelerometer to determine the running hours or does it need manual activation?

Let's give the 40th some more love. It still hasn't even been started and is at 0.5 miles 🤣

I decided the silver Kawasaki radiator screen was better for the 40th

And now the Graves Zero Gravity tall race screen

Let's weight it. 422 on the nose on my scales! Same as my KRT measured fresh off the showroom.

Sick you have both now?
Yep, bought the 40th a little more than a month ago for a smoking deal. Once the KRT went full track mode, the 40th is going to do street duty so the KRT doesn't have to convert back and forth.

So sick... I almost got sucked into buying the 40th anniversary ZX10 the other day. My girlfriend's out of town and would have murdered me if she showed back up to another new bike.
