I'm no expert by any means and always still learning. I try to surround myself with folks that are better than I and that hasn't been very hard at all based on the ZX-4RR crowd I've been hanging around with!

I'm hoping to make a lot of progress this year on the track and do my best to improve.

The Galespeed "Elaborate" front brake master and reservoir coupled with the @Gravesport reservoir clamp that mounts on the upper triple is a nice match to the Galespeed "Elaborate" clutch perch.

The leverage adjustability on the Galespeed brake master is a bit more fancy than the Brembo RCS I have on my other bikes. The fulcrum has 12 positions of adjustment (Brembo RCS only has 2 positions).

I think the Brembo Corsa Corta master has more than 2 positions though.

Anyway, less writing and more pics to keep y'all interested.

Galespeed rear brake master cylinder with integrated reservoir from @Gravesport went on without any drama.

I had to get a M10 x 1.0 banjo bolt since it's different than the OE master, and I have some proper large button head M6 bolts on the way (the OE master used M8 bolts).

Once I ride with it and am totally satisfied it feels good, I'll cut the reservoir mounting bracket off the frame. Right now I have a pretty titanium bolt in it just to dress it up. 😁

The CoreMoto ABS delete brake line for the stock master works, but it would be better if it was about 1 3/4" shorter. Maybe down the road I'll have another one made up.

Nice,

I plan on getting this for my bike as well,
How did you choose where to clamp the actual body of the piston in the clamp?

Does this eliminate the fork lock?
I tried it a few different ways until I found the position where everything lined up with no binding, cleared the intake tube, headlight, brake lines, and coolant tank without interference, and also allows the steering stops to make contact before the damper runs out of travel in both directions.

The bracket that bolts to the fairing stay slips over the stock steering stop plate and does limit the travel, making the steering lock unusable.

First ride with the Galespeed brake master cylinder and Bitubo damper was good.

The stock brakes felt just fine, and the Galespeed master feels just as good but with way more ability to adjust the lever position and I think I'll try the different leverage settings for the fulcrum. It's in the middle right now and I'm gonna experiment to see what each extreme feels like.

The rear master cylinder worked fine, and the brake effort and feel was good. I do think I'll try the optional red hard return spring though.

The Bitubo damper made the bike feel great. The bike felt more "locked in" but part of that was going from a worn out front tire to a brand new one.

The WORKS steering damper mount from @Gravesport worked perfectly. I was able to adjust the tension on the damper when parked and the limited steering travel didn't affect me too much.

A couple of times at slow speed while maneuvering between cars splitting lanes, it caught me off guard and I hit the stops when I wasn't expecting it. I think I'll get used to it eventually and reprogram my brain on the turning radius.

Having a limited steering travel is a good idea for all the track days I have planned on this bike.

It was a stunning winter day here in California. 75F and roads were clean and dry.

Tried both extremes for the fulcrum adjustment on the Galespeed front brake master and I've found what I like best.

The position furthest from the lever pivot has the least travel and the firmest lever feel. It takes more pressure to get the same amount of braking compared to the other end of the adjustment range. It didn't feel bad, but it didn't give me the feel I liked.

The position closest to the pivot had a softer lever with more travel to get the same amount of braking, but with the most leverage the effort was greatly reduced. This was what I settled on since it made modulating the brakes at the threshold easiest for me.

My test was very scientific, I sped up to around 70 and then lifted the rear wheel off the ground and played around at different heights as the bike came to a stop to see how well I could modulate the brake pressure. 🦑

Both settings felt good, honestly, and it's a matter of subjective preference for each individual. I have friends who prefer rock hard levers and others that like a softer feel. The setting I settled on felt most like the stock master, which I liked.

Also I should note that the adjustment range is 12 positions, so you can really fine tune it to exactly how you want. My Brembo RCS front brake master only has two positions.

I'll post some pics showing the adjustments on the master next.

Looks like the GaleSpeed has more adjustability than the Brembo's.
Either are good for the money and a good upgrade.
Looks good. 👍

I think a 2nd ZX-4RR is on the cards for me. One stock one for the street and one beast for the track.
Best of both worlds doing it that way.
So then you'll have the joy of the bike in two setups not having to sacrifice time by swapping bodywork etc.

The wallet may scream a bit but hey we're all used to that. 😂
