Perfect, thanks. And always anti sieze?
Stock fasteners no, but when I install aftermarket titanium I always use it unless it calls for Loctite.

This is the best goop full stop! Cleans up super easy and works up to 2000F.

Loctite 34517 White LB 8036

That's what I use,

Copper Anti Sieze Brush Top Can 8oz https://a.co/d/ijXr6zN

Should be good as well?

I’ve probably got a hemeroid now sitting on the toilet so long going through your build …I got a question about the graves sliders for you. I know these are purpose built and will probably not protect the side plastics but any way to confirm this? I really don’t want larger ones that stick out because I know that can cause more damage should one of my daughters go down on it.
appreciate your build.
Matt

The @Gravesport frame sliders will certainly minimize damage to the bike, but they aren't meant to prevent all damage from the plastics. To do that you'll have to buy a steel cage like the stunters use.

Be wary of putting frame sliders that are stick out much further than the Graves ones. The stunt cages stick out much further but are braced fore/aft to prevent them from tearing out. Putting stand alone sliders that are super long actually exposes your bike to much more severe damage as the extra leverage during a fall allows a much higher probability of ripping out the frame slider and all the expensive bits it's connected too.

When Graves engineers products they take things like this into consideration whereas many other vendors may not and just want to make a quick buck with the idea that they can make you think bigger is better. AliExpress has a ton of folks like this, but I've seen some domestic vendors with bad frame slider design on some motorcycles.

Yeah 10 4
This is what I was presuming. Appreciate the reply. Definitely not looking to add a stunt cage to it.

There's this strange wet stuff that's supposed to start falling from the sky later today here in SoCal, so I'm hunkering down with the latest batch of parts from @Gravesport.

Of course I'll bore all of you with another video and pics showcasing my ability to assemble parts without screwing anything up. 🤣

what do you expect from the rear MC? other than the looks :geek:

Hoping for some weight savings over the stock one with a separate reservoir. Won't know until I get em both on the scale.
Ok, I was just curious if there is a technical reason for this. I don't use the rear brake at all. Maybe in street riding, waiting on an incline at the light but that's it. I followed your thought of getting the Norton light disc bc of abs delete and having too much stopping power otherwise, so therefore I was just curious if that's somehow beneficial. If it's pure weightsaving only, fine.

I've seen some very fast ZX-4RR folks go the other way putting a full floating heavy duty rear rotor on because they use their rear brake so much.

I use the rear brake on corner entry as it makes the bike feel "good" and the chassis settles in a way I can't describe.

I rode with Jayson Uribe at Thunderhill West many years back and he taught me some interesting things about the rear brake.

If you want to be surprised, watch this video showcasing his rear brake usage on track:

yeah, that looks wild. I'm not that good, like miles away for sure. I read a lot about the thumb brake stuff for the big bikes which I thought can make sense to 'push the weight' into the right spot but haven't considered that for the baby ninja. I guess it comes down to capabilities and what's to squeeze out. I got so much more to learn
