First up today is the Graves throttle tube. The stock Kawasaki one allows you to roll off about 1/8" into "negative travel", which just feels weird and terrible.

The bar ends came off super easy and the switchgear unscrews with 4 bolts to get the throttle tube off.

A blast of air removed the grip off the stock tube and it was a simple affair of installing the grip on the Graves tube and putting everything back together.

Feels much nicer with no "negative travel".

Also slapped on the Graves swingarm spools. Ordered titanium bolts to replace the steel ones that are in there for now.

What difference do you feel from 0-10% throttle cranked over in a corner vs the stock throttle tube?
This is one of my very few complaints with the stock bike.

Thanks for the write up. My sliders just came in the mail today, so I’ll be installing mine soon. Did you have to support the engine while installing the sliders?
My 2cents, but I haven't installed a set.
Definitely do one at at time.
Lots of N400 guys pulled both sides at once, then struggled to line up holes.

Took off the helmet lock bracket, which with the lock itself is almost half a pound

Then got to soldering the wires I had to cut when I repositioned the license plate light level with the ground.

Took the huge rubber boots off the connectors for the signals and plate. They were taking up space in the limited rear seat storage area

Some thoughtful wire routing helps maximize every bit of space for storage

Then I added more ISC Racers tape to the underside of the tail since there were already rock chips showing with less than 1000 miles.

Next the ABS stickers on the front fender have to go.

The solo rear seat cowl looks great. I like it a lot.

The bike is all back together and ready to ride so I can test out the new ECU flash.

How does it run/ride?

Went for a short ride today to a grand opening for a local Dainese store here in San Diego.

I rode the beauty and made my friend who flew into town ride the beast.

What bike is "the beast"? An ex-police C-14?
What is the tail dragger in an earlier post? Maule?

No ABS is SOOOOO nice. The brakes feel like they came ALIVE.

The combination of rubber lines and the longer routing to the pump feels totally different than the new steel lines that are shorter.

The bike lifts the rear wheel at will at nearly any speed. I was comfortably able to modulate it on my ride today and the feel is great.

The pads may need to be replaced though. I think some aftermarket ones may be better.

The front discs turned a little blue after todays ride, so I might have over done it a bit. [emoji51]

Dialed in some more rebound on the rear shock. It's almost max'd out. I'm 1/2 turn out of 4 available.

Tires are slowly wearing out. Just passed 2000 miles.

Time to clean, floss, and lube the chain again [emoji16]

Vesrah pads are always the first brake upgrade for me.
I like the -XX pads for street/track use. ZZ pads are good too.
The stock front rotors seem to wear abnormally fast on these bikes.
