As someone who has land in North Georgia to retire to in 9 years, Id says you are better off in NC.Ordinary, I'm glad that I'm usually in WNC, but today I wish I was back in Florida !
It's only a 2+ hour ride from the house there.
But it's only 20 minutes to Deal's Gap or the Cherohala Skyway from the house here.
