That's my conservative (i.e. high) estimate. If the OTD price is that much then I'll probably wait until another color option is available. Plus, that broken up green is not for me. And the US model might be limited to 11,500 rpms? Too many unknowns to commit but I really want one. My advice is always to have the bike you really want if you can scrape up the funds.

My quote was right at $12k. More than I would have wanted to spend but this is a bike I’ve been dreaming up for years. Part of the reason I jumped on it is because I think they will be hard to find for a couple years and won’t really get any cheaper. I’ve never paid MSRP, but hoping I love the bike and don’t mind. It’s likely something I’ll keep as a race/track bike for MANY years.

Like Trey, I've wanted a small inline four for years as well. I've considered importing one too, just never went through with it.

I'm very conflicted about it. Kawi missed with the steel frame and swingarm, the wheels, 56hp, etc...

I'll get one, just not sure I'll be one of the first like I intended.

I keep an eye on the nhtsa.gov site for changes in the hp reporting. If it changes to ~75, I'll put a deposit down.

All of last year I considered an R7 track build as I think that’s about the perfect power range for my tracks and I could still ride it well (can never truly push my zx6r to the limits). R7 prices are still above MSRP for used bikes with 8k miles on them…in my market they are just now getting to the point where you can at least find some. For the last 1.5 years, it was almost impossible and they had huge markups. I used this as a reason to jump on the immediate deposit since I also think zx4rr is more niche and will be even more scarce.

limited production bike in a market where you are seeing sticker plus market adjustments, it's not the bike for everyone and the ones who want it won't fuss about the price. as far as the stats of the bike, what ever it is it is and we'll know the true #s when someone gets it on a dyno and get that info into circulation

The OTD price on my 2021 ZX6R KRT ABS was around 13k and I paid MSRP of 11.5k so I expect my OTD price to be around 11k for the ZX4RR since I am also paying MSRP 9.7k.
Do you have sales taxes where you purchased it? I do, 10% and in my mind I was prepared for that and a bit more. They told me 15k for a Yamaha Tenere OTD that I had a deposit on and waited months for. It's MSRP is $10,299. I told them to find someone else (which is kinda why I'm here wanting a zx-4r now). They didn't budge on it and kept calling every once in a while about a new one they got in. They were very hard to come by at the time though and 2022 just had crazy motorcycle prices in general I suppose.

In SC the sales tax maxes out at 300 for vehicles.

I was quoted 13,670$ OTD for an RR, mind you that’s Canuck bucks and we have a 13% tax in Ontario here. It’s my first new bike purchase so no relationship to the dealer either. A ZX-6R KRT with ABS is a 14,000$ MRSP up here. The biggest reason I chose the ZX-4R is that insurance in Ontario is insane.
