Depends on what you're looking for in a bike. If you want a lower powered but still high spec small capacity inline 4, then the only competitors disappeared in the 90's.

If you don't care about the engine, then yeah agreed with above. R7, RS660, CBR 650R, and a bunch of other midsize nakeds.

Lightweight supersports are such a cool concept. I'm sure other manufacturers are taking note on the hype around the ZX4R.

At this stage I'm thinking that I'll just get a ZX6R or RS660 for my next bike. Don't need an RSV4 yet. Or do I?

Nothing like a V4. i once had a V4 Tuono 1000. It sounded like a cannon going off when ripping through the gears with the quick shifter!

RS660 is definitely my next bike after the 4RR. Then trade my 950S for a Panigale V4S.

I came close to getting the RS660 Limited Edition, but I didn't want too many eggs in the Piaggio basket.

I was already waiting on the Moto Guzzi V100S Mandello, at least that finally arrived last week.

I considered getting one of the Kawasakis through Moto 2 Imports, but I'm leary of those Japanese auctions - I want to see something in person if I'm looking to buy it.

We store/service all the Moto2 Import bikes here,,,
You'll just pay more for the convenience of having one already in the states with the ability to touch it.
The way prices have trended, we all should have bought one a couple years ago, today prices in Japan are nutts.

Yes, I know. And yes I know. There are several bikes I wish I bought when I could have. Or kept some of the ones I did buy.

I wish I had gotten a CBX 1000 back when they were more affordable, but ultimately a well used BMW K1600 GT should scratch that inline 6 itch nicely. As for bikes I regret selling, there's a reason I already have 4, I don't sell my cool bikes! 😀
