This will be my first new bike launch so idk - is it typical for Kawi to have uprated springs for forks and shocks ready from the get go? I’m on the heavier side (225+) so always need stiffer ones for a good / safe ride. Asked the dealer and they didn’t really know but it seems like the suspension used are pre-existing parts so should already be some out there right?

Would be great to hear if anyone else is already thinking about this - gonna wait for this long enough, don’t want to have to wait any longer for a proper ride!

Usually that's an aftermarket purchase. Taking it to a suspension shop would be a good start. I have seen one cartridge kit for the 25R on WeBike YSS : Front Fork Cartridge Kit [127-C02000001] (webike.net) and expect more to come out in the near future. The rear spring should be an easy swap, maybe even taking the shock from a ZX10. Only time will tell.

Yeah I just finished dialing in Andreani Misano cartridges and a Zx14 shock on my SV and it's totally changed the handling.

Would like to keep the ZX4r bits stock (except for spring rates) for a riding season at least though. They seem good enough, and can keep the downtime from major modifications to the off season.

Typically no, the OEM doesn't make different spring rates available. As to whether or not the stock rates will suit you, we'll just have to wait until the bike is in people's hands. Some Kawasaki's have been very soft, some about right, and at least one (the early Ninja 650s) was insanely stiff.

if we had the bike we'd be able to say YES, but being one a select few have it, have to wait to see if they give out that info
Do you do sales and installation? Im just north of you in Hernando County and generally go to Corsa Motor Works for my bikes, but this is my fist Kawi. Well, technically my Ninja 400 is but that's getting traded in with the 5 miles it has on it.
