I just saw the single seat cowl is sold out or unavailable, did anyone scoop one up yet?
I've been checking every day and haven't seen it in stock yet. All they have had was the TFT screen protective film and radiator guard initially, then a few days the sport seat showed up. Ordered that the day it popped up and should be here tomorrow.

Called and checked on the service manual giving my dealership both part numbers I have for it and one they could find but it was unavailable to order. The other was showing as an invalid part number still.

Thanks for the quick reply! I'm all over that seat cowl when it drops.

"Sport Seat" arrived today.
Shipping box Packing materials Packaging and labeling Box Carton

Tints and shades Human leg Synthetic rubber Auto part Carbon

White Light Watch Black Clock

Product Black Gesture Material property Auto part

Pleasantly surprised it wasn't just a box of foam, fabric cover and staples that I was going to have to tear apart the original seat and basically reupholster myself. The way the product description made it sound, sound like I was in for a weekend of becoming an upholstry apprentice from YouTube :)

Made to fit and complement the Ninja® ZX™-4RR motorcycle, this seat features firm urethane cushioning which enhances feel to the rear wheel traction during sport riding sessions
  • Utilizes factory seat base and components for a factory fit
  • Includes all parts needed to replace the stock seat

But not the case - looks to be a drop in replacement. No idea on changes to feel, grip, etcetera because I have no bike yet to compare it against the seat it ships with! Haha

I like the side view of the seat showing a ramp up effect at the tank.
Seems like this would keep you back from the tank just enough for a proper ergo setup. 👍
Very nice seat.

Yes, it's a drop-in replacement - that's how it read to me, and how it was pictured.

But like you, I wonder how it compares to the standard seat.

@ME-Motorsports how does it compare to the oe? why didn't you take any pics for comparison?
If I had a bike here, I'd be able to do that. Unfortunately I'm sitting and twiddling my thumbs like everyone else in those regards.

When I get my bike I will do that.

Yeah, beats having a tank extension shroud like on my ZX-10R - haha, sometimes the gonads really didn't like that thing.

Oh sport seat, not rear cowl. Are you sure you aren't going to have 2 of the same seat now? 😆
I hope not otherwise Kawi will be hearing from me about the wording on their website. Would make it easier if they just gave me a damn bike already so I could test and let everyone know! :) I'm doing this for you guys! hahaha

Rearsets is one of the main things I’ll be wondering about. I’ll want to switch to GP shift but based on the images, it doesn’t look like just 180 rotating the gear selector is an option. So a rearset where the lever pivot is flipped may be the solution…will have to make it work with the quickshifter too (I’d assume you can just flip it?).
This will require a hardware change. The sensor voltage output is low in one direction and high in the other. Solutions are on the way

What’s the part number for that manual if you don’t mind?
It's down in the garage now, I'm up in the office trying to finish the rest of this day and watch some hockey :) If I don't get down there, it should be on Kawi's website - that's where I ordered it from on Saturday.
Edit, and it shows it on the website I had bookmarked - win.

I was worried when at launch they listed two different manuals, indicating "paper manual out of stock".
Whats really odd, is they do in fact list two part numbers for the service manual in the install directions for the OEM Kawi radiator guard. But yep, glad you got one ordered. One less person to ask me to tear up and individually scan each page of mine! 🤣

I ordered one as well using the number you provided.
