I just saw the single seat cowl is sold out or unavailable, did anyone scoop one up yet?
I've been checking every day and haven't seen it in stock yet. All they have had was the TFT screen protective film and radiator guard initially, then a few days the sport seat showed up. Ordered that the day it popped up and should be here tomorrow.I just saw the single seat cowl is sold out or unavailable, did anyone scoop one up yet?
Thanks for the quick reply! I'm all over that seat cowl when it drops.I've been checking every day and haven't seen it in stock yet. Called and checked on the service manual giving my dealership both part numbers I have for it and one they could find but it was unavailable to order. The other was showing as an invalid part number still.
Yes, it's a drop-in replacement - that's how it read to me, and how it was pictured."Sport Seat" arrived today...
- Utilizes factory seat base and components for a factory fit
- Includes all parts needed to replace the stock seat
But not the case - looks to be a drop in replacement. No idea on changes to feel, grip, etcetera because I have no bike yet to compare it against the seat it ships with! Haha
If I had a bike here, I'd be able to do that. Unfortunately I'm sitting and twiddling my thumbs like everyone else in those regards.@ME-Motorsports how does it compare to the oe? why didn't you take any pics for comparison?
Yeah, beats having a tank extension shroud like on my ZX-10R - haha, sometimes the gonads really didn't like that thing.Seems like this would keep you back from the tank just enough for a proper ergo setup. 👍
I hope not otherwise Kawi will be hearing from me about the wording on their website. Would make it easier if they just gave me a damn bike already so I could test and let everyone know!Oh sport seat, not rear cowl. Are you sure you aren't going to have 2 of the same seat now? 😆
This will require a hardware change. The sensor voltage output is low in one direction and high in the other. Solutions are on the wayRearsets is one of the main things I’ll be wondering about. I’ll want to switch to GP shift but based on the images, it doesn’t look like just 180 rotating the gear selector is an option. So a rearset where the lever pivot is flipped may be the solution…will have to make it work with the quickshifter too (I’d assume you can just flip it?).
It's down in the garage now, I'm up in the office trying to finish the rest of this day and watch some hockeyWhat’s the part number for that manual if you don’t mind?
Nice ty sir, ordering mine now too. It's down in the garage now, I'm up in the office trying to finish the rest of this day and watch some hockeyIf I don't get down there, it should be on Kawi's website - that's where I ordered it from on Saturday.
Edit, and it shows it on the website I had bookmarked - win.![]()

Whats really odd, is they do in fact list two part numbers for the service manual in the install directions for the OEM Kawi radiator guard. But yep, glad you got one ordered. One less person to ask me to tear up and individually scan each page of mine! 🤣I was worried when at launch they listed two different manuals, indicating "paper manual out of stock".
I ordered one as well using the number you provided.Whats really odd, is they do in fact list two part numbers for the service manual in the install directions for the OEM Kawi radiator guard.
