Confirmed bolt is m12x1.5 and hiflo filter is 303. Magnet type drain bolts length does not get in the way of anything.

Geez, oil filter was really tight. Crushed parts of the oil filter. Oil filter cap type kept slipping. Had to use oil filter pliers.

Next was to stab it just like you did. What tools did you try prior, if any?

I ruined a perfectly good plastic filter socket with a 1" hex nut shape on the end that I've used on all my Yamaha filters with no issues. No more adjustable filter wrench so I needed the nuclear option, unfortunately.

What brand of drain plug is that? Is that aluminum or stainless steel?

If you want an easy way to get the filter off you just need the Kawasaki oil filter wrench.

Don’t forget to tighten the new filter down to the proper torque.
