We will see what the deal is once they hit the dealers. If it is the case that the RPM is limited to 11,500 due to noise that will suck and will likely push me to a different bike like a Trident 660 or CB650r. I am really interested in this bike as they will be cheap for registration and insurance. The zx4r would be about half of what the Trident 660 and CB650r will cost for reg/insurance.
The reason that I think there is an issue with the statement is that there is no other official releases of information stating that will be the case other than the Kawasaki Canada website (which I doubt, as the site is not as well run or presented as the USA site). All press releases I have seen say 16,000 rpm. We also have to deal with two languages (English/French) in Canada and I am hopeful that there is a translation issue or something.
I would find that incredibly hard to believe as other bikes have rpm ceilings that are higher in Canada.....and by limiting the RPM of this small displacement bike will have a big effect on the power output and not in a good way, which will make it exceedingly difficult to sell these in Canada if that is the case.
I also find it odd since Australia will not be getting a LAMS version of this bike
