I'm excited to see and hear about this new 400/4 coming our way so I joined.

I already have 2 bikes in the stable and a third is out of the question but as much as I fancy a sweet sounding in-line 4 of small displacement I simply cannot afford or have room for another bike.

I'm here for the knowledge and information on this new steed so hope you don't mind me being here. 🤙

I don't need 2 motorcycles or have garage space so I will probably sell the ZX6R after taking delivery of ZX4R.

The ZX4R will be less to insure, better gas mileage, and easier on tires than the ZX6R, so in my case I will be saving money by switching to the ZX4R.

That makes sense and it's ironic as much as I wanted to get a ZX6R a few months ago here comes the ZX4R to temp my wallet. 😂🤦🏻

Out of curiosity how much are you going to sell the 600 for when the time comes?

I plan on taking it to the Kawasaki dealership where I'm buying the ZX4R to get a trade in quote and go from there. I really hate to sell the ZX6R because it's an amazing motorcycle and I could always use a second bike for when friends visit.

Welcome to the forum @misnblu! You're more than welcome to join, who knows maybe you'll eventually be tempted to get a ZX-4R by being on here.

Which two bikes do you currently have?

Presently own a 2021 Ninja 400 and also a 1998 VTR1000 SuperHawk currently half way through a full rebuild.
Both are red with yellow accents. 🥰

Time will tell on whether the appeal for an inline 4 of a 600 or 400cc will adorn my storage space. 🤔🧐
Thanks for the welcome. 🙏🏽👍

Two very nice bikes you have there! Have you had both since new?

The SuperHawk was bought used in 2020 as my getting. All I to riding after 35+ years.
Their known for their cam chain tensioners going bad so with 43,000 on the clock I ride it for a bit and decided to do the cam chains and well it went a bit too far. 😂

She's 55% done now to completion and wanted to ride and bought the Ninja400 new in 2022.
I love both bikes as they're so different at what they do and are both sweet handling bikes.
I can't complain.

I was very interested in the ZX6R-636 until I'd seen the ZX4 coming which changed everything.
I probably won't get it immediately but sometime down the road when things are settled down and cash flow is once again flowing. 👍

That totally makes sense, here's hoping you finish the SuperHawk asap so you can properly enjoy it.

Well I made the call to my local Kawi dealer and yes they will have one coming into the shop when they come. 🥹

11,500 out the door. 😉 Not bad and affordable.
My insurance will go up to $633 a year for both bikes or around $54 a month, again, not bad. I was paying that much with my VTR and N400 so doable.

Less than 4 weeks I go home and will probably put down the $500 refundable deposit on this bike or over the phone like I did with my N400 at this same dealership.

You live once and a bike like this comes around once maybe twice in a lifetime. Considering the ZX6R is similarly priced and was considering it a few months ago this ZX4 will complete my stable with an inline 4 I've always wanted. 🙌😁

Stay tuned for more on this. 👍

That's awesome. You can't go wrong with the first edition ZX4RR. My dealer has at least 2 pre orders for it already.

My ZX6R insurance is 400 and the Ninja 400 was 200 a year. When I had them both at the same time my insurance was still only 400.

I plan on trading the ZX6R so hopefully my insurance will go back down to 200-250 range.

Yeah I've got full coverage insurance on the N400 even though it's paid for and I'll be financing this ZX4 through my bank so full coverage is also needed.

I'm at the point to pay the down payment tomorrow via phone as I drive a truck and since that's the way I did on my N400 should have no issue doing this over the phone again.

I don't need the bike but I want the bike and I know that makes no sense but that's the way I've always been. 🤷🏼‍♂️😂

I'm keeping my other bikes as I love the SuperHawk for its history of being a great all around bike revered by many and the same holds true for the N400.

My family is going to go ape sh*t when they find out but that's expected I guess.

My understanding is the ZX4RR is the only model for the US and I have no quarrels with that or the color.
3 bikes, one a v-twin, one a parallel twin, and the other an inline 4. 🥰

A few years ago I had 4 cars, a 944 Porsche, Toyota Paseo, Cavalier Z24 race car I drove on the street, and a Ford Contour sedan so 3 bikes take up way less space than 4 cars. 😂

Sorry for the long post I'm a little excited at the moment. 🥹😁
