Do you wear hearing protection? If so what do you use? Foam plugs from a hardware store or something else?

I’ve wasted plenty of money chasing a solution for this but always come back to foam plugs being the best for me. Every ride.

Highest foam NRR I could find, still lets in Sena audio, keeps my already bad tinnitus to a dull roar. 10/10 every ride

Every ride, & even sometimes to sleep, :ROFLMAO:

Tested & proven that we suffer hearing loss riding without ear protection.

Every ride. I had some custom plugs then lost them. The trust Howard Leight laser lights are my go to nowadays. I love them. Picked up a pack of several hundred and will have them for life. Super comfy and great NRR.

I wear them sometimes on the street and always in the track.
Been using the 3M bulk bag you can find at most retail drug stores and they work great.
My Arai helmet does a pretty good job of keeping the noise out and I do use a db killer in my exhaust too.

Thanks to everyone for the links to their favorites as I can select a better product for me. Good stuff. 👍

After using foam plugs for a while, then a series of reusable plugs that didn't really get the job done, I bit the bullet and got these custom earplugs. They work just as advertised, blocking more high frequency and less low frequency so I can still hear the engine, horns, sirens, music, etc. but the sound of wind is mostly gone. You have to go to an audiologist to have them take a mold of your ear that you send off to the earplug people, but they fit so well I can ride all day and they don't get uncomfortable. Worth every penny to me.

Disposable foam plugs. Cheap and better than other more "premium" options I've tried. Every ride.

Foam plugs, unless I only plan on coasting around town at less than 50 mph.

Foam Howard Leight/Honeywells to ride, sleep and play guitar. Already have my hearing jacked up enough from the military and now blaring sirens

Absolutely hate foam plugs. I love the alpine moto safe Race. They're comfortable, any other silicone plug with a plastic inner filter hurts when you have a helmet on.

I just bought a set of the 200 Pairs Moldex 6604 from Amazon to hold me over until I die. 😇
They're simple and can carry a few packs on the bike so I don't have to worry about forgetting. 👍

I had to try 3 or 4 foamies before I stumbled on some that were totally agreeable. Some seem to expand more forcefully and hurt.

I dont usually wear them, but I dont race or ride all that fast. Ive tried in the past and just couldn't get used to it. I like the wind and motor sounds I guess. The ZX may bring about changes in this behavior though.

When I do wear ear pro, I like surefire EP4 mediums in clear. Wear them at concerts, the range, data centers, etc., very comfortable and unobtrusive. Shopping sales, I can usually find them for $10/pr and have them in glove box, laptop bag, range bag, tank bag for GS. Guess I should throw some in the ZX tail now too.
