I’ve owned a ‘18 CBR1K SP new since ‘20.
This is one of the still-current, SC77 generation, (2017-2023).
The moto was heavily restricted here in the USA, to meet noise emissions.
We’re talking 145ish hp at the rear wheel, rev restrictions as well.
Thankfully, the ecu was eventually reverse engineered, and a handful of tuners created mail-in flashes.
The tuner I dealt wt has an amazing mail-in flash, that transformed my CBR SP, throughout the rev range, added & deleted a handful of options, smoothed out the ride by wire, added 20hp up top, and overall the transformation was simply amazing, which is why I still talk about it, 3 seasons later..
*What‘s my point?
I‘m sure we all greatly look forward to the ecu flashes that will restore our ZX-4RR’s to their Euro specs, as well as the other perks/options that come wt said flash.
