Debit card has money in the bank. It can be used like a credit card as long as you have the funds in the bank to cover it or you're over drawn.

With having no debt and me living in my truck it's not hard to save money in a short period of time as a truck driver.
The 4RR will be my last big purchase for a while.
Retirement is coming soon and need to save up for a nice Class C RV so I can do track days until I no longer can ride. It's a goal and hope I live long enough to see it. 👍
Being 'Debt Free' is liberating,,going on year 2 now!! I did a camper in the process.
Personal Q, If you're living outta your truck, what are you gonna do with the new bike and did you just get rid of all your other shit when you cashed out?

Good question.
I have 2 storage units I'm using for storing my goods.
One is 10x30 which houses the car and both trailers along with my project to be finished VTR1000 and the other is a 5x10 used for all my house wares, project car parts, and Ninja 400.

Everything is insured so no worries about theft or damage from nature.
The 4RR will be housed in the 10x30 once I get it.

The big storage unit is also used as my garage for working on the car and cycles. It's basically where I am on my off days and at the end of the day I visit family a few miles away and go back to the truck for the night until I do it all over again the next day.

I am planning on buying some land for retirement with a concrete pad for either a large 2 door garage with an apartment style house above it looking over the bikes and cars or a nice Class C RV for I can take from track to track when it's not parked at the lot.

That's to be decided in the next year or two as the economy is on a down turn and I'm waiting waiting on the beat investment opportunity at the right time.

15% gross savings going into gold and silver because that keeps me from spending it and fiat currency is losing its value while the banks are uncertain for their future too.
Sorry for the long answer but I can't help it. 😂🤷🏼‍♂️

Blu, with the big brain! you're a sharp dude. I did 'kinda' the same but not as smart as you on investments/saving.
I did the land and build but got screwed 1/2 way thru with the China virus, materials and labor went thru the roof.
I did a shitty camper and storage unit during the process. Bout 90% done before I ran outta money, did a house w/apartment over the garage. In hindsight, I should have done just a big garage and apartment only. You got the right idea there. Vapor barrier and or heat the concrete and foam insulate the rest...
I don't know if a year or two will fix all the damage or this economy, let's hope. I just looked a HELOC to finish the house BS but at 10.6% the banks can suck my nutts.

Thanks and age has alot to do with making better decisions than your younger self. 👍

I should've done this at a much younger age but being the free bird that I've been all my life and still am today I've lived a simple life and still having a ton of fun along the way.

Interest rates are going through the roof as you well know so now's not the time to go into debt on a house or high dollar project. Hope everything comes to fruition for you. 🤞

Oh and where I live I won't need heated concrete because it never gets that cold. Good insulation and circulation should thwart any issues with being cold or too hot.

Land is still cheap in MS and already have some prospects on where to go.
It helps that I've had experience in electrical, plumbing, electronics, and some building experience to make all this easier and cheaper to do a lot of the work myself and maintaining everything too.

I thank myself for learning everything I could knowing it's value and also having trust issues with others working on my things doesn't hurt either. 😂

Ok back on subject. 😁
